A new scheme was launched by Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee of West Bengal for the students of classes 9th to 12th class in 2005. The name of this scheme is the WB Sabooj Sathi Scheme. The main aim of this scheme is to distribute 20 lakh bicycles to the students studying in school to encourage them to study. About WB Sabooj Sathi Scheme
Under this scheme, the students of classes 9th to 12th will be benefited from the bicycle distributed by the government of West Bengal to support their education to a higher level. The Government of West Bengal has decided to distribute 10 lakh bicycles to the students but Chief Minister Mamta Banerji bought the new change to double the volume of the bicycles which now had converted to 20 lakh bicycles. The main aim is to bring gender equality and to increase the quality of education. This scheme of the Chief Minister of Bengal has been turned into the prestigious world summit on the information society award under the United Nations.

Objective Of WB Sabooj Sathi Scheme
As we all know many students are not able to reach school on time due to a lack of transportation facilities. This results in a loss of studies. Keeping this in mind the Respected CM of West Bengal known as Mamata Banerjee has launched a new scheme named WB Sabooj Sathi Scheme. Through this scheme around 20 lakh, bicycles will be distributed to the students of classes 9th to 12th. The main objective of the scheme is to complete four goals good health & well-being, quality education, gender equality, and climate actions.

Implementation Of The Scheme
Implementation of the scheme has been dependent on different challenges like the collection of student record consignment tracking management selection of secured places for delivery tagging of the school’s deployment of a huge number of factors across the country their logistic arrangement security etc. And to manage all these records in one place the government has launched the portal of Sabooj Sathi with the team. The team includes teachers, students, madrasa, School inspectors, government-aided schools, blogs, municipalities, and officers of the district administration appeal representative. All these have participated in a different way to give a huge success to this scheme.
