A new scholarship scheme has been launched by the backward community development department of the government of Kerala to provide scholarships to backward-category students so that they will be able to pursue quality education for a better future. About E-Grantz 3.0
A new website has been launched by the concerned authorities of the Government of Kerala to provide benefits to the backward category students including schedule caste or schedule type or other backward classes. Under egrants 3.0 around 3 lakh, students have benefited from the scholarship to get a quality education in the institutions of Kerala. after that, a new and updated version of an egrants 3.0 portal has been launched to include the new students to get the same scholarship in order to complete their quality education
Objective Of E-Grantz
As we all know there are many students of backward categories who want to pursue quality education but due to their weak financial condition, they are not able to get a really good life and good education. By keeping this in mind the Government of Kerala state has launched E-Grantz 3.0. The scholarship will be provided to all the backward categories and caste students so they will be able to pursue their quality education and will be able to live a good life in the future.

Benefits Under E-Grantz
- This scholarship will be given to students who belong to the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe for other backward caste categories.
- Children will be able to pursue a good life.
- Good quality of education will be provided to them.
- They will be able to stand on their own by getting a good education.
- Many other benefits will also be provided under this scheme to the students.
Award Details
The types of rewards and benefits which will be given to the backward category students are as follows

| SC and OEC Candidates | Rs. 630 stipends will be given to the students studying in colleges which are 8 km far from their residence Rs. 750 stipends will be given to students who are you studying in colleges which is more than 8 kilometers far from their residence Rs. 1500 will be given to the students pursuing professional courses and reside on their own |
| OBC Candidates | Rs. 160 will be given to the students who are pursuing 10 + 2 courses. Rs. 250 will be given to the Hostellers and Rs. 200 to the day scholars |

- On the home page, click on the One Time Registration option.
- A new web page will appear in front of you
- Here, read the instructions carefully.
- Now enter the required details such as Aadhar Number and Students Name.
- After filling in the details click on the Validate Aadhar button
- Now enter each of your details such as your mobile number and other personal details.
- After filling in the details click on the Register option.
- The credentials will appear in front of you.
- Make yourself login first by using your credentials.
- Now enter each and every detail to apply for a scholarship.
- After entering the details click on apply for scholarships post matric
- The list of scholarships will be displayed on your screen.
- Select the type of scholarship you want to apply for.
- The application form will be displayed on your screen.
- Fill the form carefully and upload all the important documents.
- After filling in all the details click on the submit option
- Your registration will be done successfully
