Implementation of the Kalia Scholarship
- The beneficiaries can easily apply through the common scholarship portal.
- The scheme has been implemented by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment.
- The beneficiary who has deposited the tuition fees Annual fees, one-time fees hostel charges, and other fees will be refunded and will directly be transferred into the beneficiary account through the direct benefit transfer method.
- In case of refunds and penalties in different situations, institutions shall follow the guidelines of the concerned department.
- Rs. 1200 per month and Rs. 1000 per month for 10 months will be provided to the students who are pursuing a degree and diploma in polytechnic courses as per the guidelines of different categories of departments.
- The scholarship that has been sanctioned by the government should be led to cancellation if misleading or false in the statement by the beneficiary.
- State-level committees and a district-level committee under the Kalia Yojana will review and monitor the implementation of this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria
- An applicant must be a permanent of the state
- The applicant should be a child of the beneficiaries under Kalia Yojana under two different components such as cultivator for cultivation and livelihood support to landless agricultural households
- The candidate must have taken admitted in the government institute of the state on a merit basis
- An applicant who has taken admitted on Cost sharing self-financing and NRI are not eligible for the scheme.
- The candidate who is pursuing any other scholarship is not eligible to apply.
- Students can get a Kalia scholarship for only one professional course
- After getting the scholarship for one professional course they are not eligible to get a scholarship for a second professional course.
