If any of the students enrolled in a course from a parallel college and doing it part-time, is not eligible for the scheme. The amount of benefit will be directly transferred into the bank account of the beneficiary.

Benefits and Features of the Kerala Vidya Kiranam Scheme
Students will receive the following benefits under this scheme:
- The Social Justice Department of Kerala has started the Kerala Vidya Kiranam Scheme 2024 for students whose parents are physically disabled.
- Through this scheme, a total of 25 students will be selected from all over Kerala and will receive a beneficiary amount for 10 months.
- This scheme will offer financial assistance every month to the students from class 1st standard to post-graduation level.
- Students will get scholarships of variable amounts according to their course from Rs. 300 to 1000.
- If any of the students enrolled in a course from a parallel college and doing it part-time, is not eligible for the scheme.
- The amount of benefit will be directly transferred into the bank account of the beneficiary.
- Students from any other educational benefit program will not receive the benefit.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students must be a permanent resident of Kerala.
- Any one of the parents or both parents should be physically disabled.
- Students must be enrolled in any educational course from class 1st to post-graduation.
- The applicant should belong to the Below Poverty Line category.

Application Procedure for Scheme 2024
- Students first need to visit the Kerala Vidya Kiranam Website of the Social Justice Department of Kerala.
- The homepage will appear on your screen, here you have to click on the Physically Disabled option.
- Now a new page will open, where you have to select the Vidya Kiranam Scheme 2023 from a list of schemes.
- After that scheme page will open and scroll down to click on the Application Form.
- After this the page will be downloaded on your device, print it out.
- Now fill in all the required information on your form and attach the necessary documents.
- After doing all these things, submit the application form to your institution head.
- The institution head will transfer the application form to the District Social Justice Officer.
- After verification, the amount will be transferred into the bank account of the applicant.
