Coverage Under Telangana Breakfast Scheme 2024
Telangana Breakfast Scheme has been launched by the government of Telangana. Under the scheme students of all government schools in the state will get free breakfast. This scheme has been launched on 6 October 2023. The breakfast will be served 45 minutes before the commencement of classes. The government has also released a day-wise menu for the scheme. Now students will not be required to experience hunger in school. This scheme will optimize the health and growth of the students. Malnutrition will also be addressed through the implementation of this scheme. Healthy ingredients will be used in the preparation of breakfast so that all the students will be able to get proper nutrition. Around 10 lakh students from classes 1st to 10 will be covered under this scheme

Process of Monitoring under the Telangana Breakfast Scheme
- The headmaster will be responsible for supervising at the school level
- The complex headmaster will monitor the implementation of all the schools in their school complex
- The Mandal nodal officer will be responsible for monitoring the school at the Mandal level
- The district educational officer with monitor all the schools in the district along with the community coordinator of Samagra Shiksha
- Tracking will be done for all the breakfasts that come through the mobile app and online software
- This program will be implemented in convergence with the Panchayat Raj Women Development and Child Welfare department
- The School Education Department will be the nodal department for the implementation of this scheme
- In the areas that are covered by the corporation, the commissioner is the supervisory officer
- At the district level, additional collector local bodies do the overall supervisory officer for all the schools in the district
- Periodical visits by food inspector for quality checks will be done from time to time
