About Assam Mission Basundhara
Mission Basundhara was started by Assam’s chief minister, Shri Hemanta Biswa Sharma, to address the issue and improve the state’s residents access to land revenue services. Through the Mission Basundhara style of faster service delivery to citizens and the creation of an easier business environment in the land management ecosystem, this mission seeks to reduce the delay in updating land records. Assam’s Chief Minister recently announced the launch of Mission Basundhara 2.0, which would allow for fresh land surveys and purification efforts. Objective of Mission Basundhara 2.0
The goal of Mission Basundhara is to resolve land conflicts in the state more effectively. The Assam government will now use drones to assess citizens’ land. This mission will offer several services, including land transfers, land mutations, and the division of uncontested cases. The Mission Basundhara will conduct a village survey. Basundhra Land Services
The following nine land-related services will be offered through the Basundhara portal:
Mutation by right of inheritance
Mutation refers to the entry of a person’s name in the Jamabandi, or Record of Right. Through inheritance, the legal heir receives possession from the land’s documented owner. The provisions of Section 53A(1) of the ALRR of 1886 must be followed when a mutation occurs through the right of inheritance. The service is free to users.

Mutation after deed registration
The procedure for documenting a change or transfer in ownership when a property has been sold or transferred to another party. So, following registration, the name has been changed to reflect the true landowner.

Partition for undisputed cases
There will be no user fees for the service under the Mission Basundhara, which defines partition as the division of a revenue-paying territory into two or more such estates.

Conversion from Annual Patta to Periodic Patta
Any land that has been occupied for one year can be converted to a longer tenure through this process. The landowner will have a permanent and transferable right to use the property once the yearly patta has been changed to a periodic patta.

Reclassification of agricultural land to nonagricultural land less than 1 bigha
The class of land will also change if the use of the land is altered. Therefore, if the property is less than 1 bigha, this service is for the reclassification of agricultural land for non-agricultural purposes.

Striking out of name from patta
After hearing each case, the names of those who are no longer in possession may be removed from RoR by Rule 116 of the ALRR of 1886.

Allotment certificate to Periodic Patta
After confirming that the allottee has been in possession for the required amount of time, the allotment certificate will be converted to a periodic patta.

Legacy Data Updation
Any changes to the pattadar’s name, the size of the property, or the notes in the Jamabandi must be made through the Legacy Data Updation service.

Application Procedures at the Mission Basundhara Portal
The user must adhere to the instructions below in order to apply for online services at the Mission Basundhara Portal.
- Applicants need to visit the Mission Basundhara Portal official website first.
- The website’s home page will appear on the screen.
- On the homepage, you have to select the Services tab.
- The list of services will appear on a new page that opens on the screen.
- Click the service you wish to Apply for now.
- The relevant service’s documentation requirements and service criteria will appear on the screen.
- Click the Apply Now button to continue.

- Enter the captcha code and your mobile number.
- Click the Send OTP button after that.
- An OTP will be delivered to your registered mobile number once you click the Send OTP button.
- To verify, enter the received OTP.
- The dashboard for your account will now open on the screen once you have successfully logged in, and it has four sections:

- Now, complete each section with the necessary information.

Process for Searching Occupier\Khaitan
- Applicants need to visit the Mission Basundhara Portal official website first.

- On the homepage, you will see the Section of Search Occupier\Khaitan.
- Here you have to select the Option of Occupier or Khaitan at your convenience.
- After that, you need to select your District, Circle, Village, or at last fill in the Captcha code.

How to Check the Status of an Application

- On the Homepage you have to select the option of Login, then click on the Resurvey option.
- As you log in under the option you have to select the Option that says List of village Resurveyed.
