There are many families in Odisha who are staying in kutcha houses due to poor financial condition or some are those who take advantage from other odisha housing schemes but now want to improve their house. All these people are eligible for a new housing scheme of Odisha called Mo Ghara Yojana Odisha 2024. This yojana was launched by the CM of Odisha Mr. Naveen Patnaik on 29th May 2023. The registration for the yojana will be started from 15th of June 2023. Through this yojana beneficiaries can avail loan up to Rs. 3 lakh, which should be paid in the duration of 10 years. According to the CM this housing scheme is funded by the State Budget. The citizens whose monthly income is less than Rs. 25,000 and living in a kutcha house will be eligible for the yojana. All the citizens of the state who want to avail the benefit of this yojana must enrol themselves by following given steps.
About Mo Ghara Yojana Odisha 2024
The word Mo Ghara refers to My House. The yojana was established to offer houses to families who did not get benefits through any other housing scheme and remained unbenefitted. Citizens will get financial loans to build or renovate their houses. Beneficiaries can take loans of up to Rs. 3 lakh and can pay the loan through one of the four loan slabs of the loan amount: 1 lakh, 1.5 lakh, 2 lakh, and 3 lahks. After the completion of the house, the State Government will release the capital subsidy to the beneficiary’s loan accounts. Through this yojana, families headed by people with disabilities or members of scheduled castes and scheduled tribes will be eligible for enhanced capital subsidies. The vulnerable groups will get a subsidy of up to Rs. 70,000 and other groups will get a subsidy of Rs. 60,000 for Rs. 3 lakh loans. Banks are not allowed to take any processing charges from the beneficiaries of this yojana to avail loans from the banks.

Ineligiblility Of Mo Ghara Yojana Odisha 2024
- The monthly family income of the applicant exceeding Rs 25000
- Households availed of housing assistance of Rs 70,000 or above under any rural housing scheme in the past
- Those staying in pucca houses having two or more rooms with RCC roof
- Applicants having noncommercial motorized four-wheeler
- That household that has any member as a regular government employee
- Applicants having ownership of five acres or above irrigated land or 15 acres or above non-irrigated land

Implementation Of Scheme
- The government will launch a dedicated website to receive an application
- All the interested households can apply online for credit linkage
- Applicants will also be able to track their application
- On the receipt of the application, the concerned video will verify the eligibility of the applicant as for the checklist
- The existing house and proposed construction site will be geotech by block functionaries
- The block will facilitate the applicant in preparing the plan and estimate
- Block will also upload the approved plant and estimate in the web portal before sponsoring the application to the bank
- The BDO will sponsor The eligible applications online to the bank
- After this sponsorship of the application, the concerned bank will verify the required original documents and conduct field verification
- The eligible applicant will be sanctioned a loan by the bank
