About Sahara Refund Status 2024

The Union Home Minister Amit Shah transferred the claim amount of the depositors of a cooperative society of Sahara group on 4th August 2023. These groups include Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Saharayn Universal Multipurpose Society Limited, Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited, and Star Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited. This refund process will be done through the Sahara Refund Portal.

• The amount of Rs 10000 each has been transferred to 112 beneficiaries. Around 18 lakh people have registered on the portal so far. The balance money of the depositors will be provided in the second installment. This portal was launched on 18 July 2023.
• Through this portal refund of around Rs 5000, crores will be provided to the depositors. In the first phase, around 1 crore depositors will be settled. Now beneficiaries are not required to go to any government offices to apply for a refund as this can be done with the help of this portal
