Objective Of the Sevana Pension Scheme

Agriculture Labour Pension Scheme
The Pension will be provided to the agricultural labor under the Sevana Pension Scheme. previously it was handed by the Labour Department which was later transferred to the local bodies. Now the local body is responsible for receiving the application processing granting pension and the funds sanctioned timely. Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension
The Indira Gandhi National old-age pension is the scheme of the government that provides financial assistance to old age people in the form of pension so that they do not have to stay dependent on there for their expenses. The administration of Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension was previously dependent on the social welfare department which has now been transferred to the local government. Now it is the responsibility of the municipality and cooperation to accept, approve and disburse the application under this pension. There is a total of three types of pension available in the state one is the old-age pension and the other towards the widow pension and the disability pension. The funding of this pension was done by the central government.

Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme
The benefit of the Indira Gandhi National disability pension scheme is given to physically challenged persons. The main aim of this scheme is to ensure a respectful life by providing financial assistance to several and multi-disabled persons who are living below the poverty line. The management of this pension scheme was handled by the department of social welfare of the state government which has now been handed to local government gram panchayats and municipalities.
