About e-RUPI
A new digital payment platform has been introduced by our Respected Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi on 2nd August 2021 in order to provide cashless and contactless payment to the citizens of the country. Under the, e RUPI, QR code SMS string-based e-vouchers will be delivered to the mobile number of the users to make the online payment with full privacy. After receiving the voucher the user will redeem this without any digital payment app, internet banking, or card. The main aim of launching this digital platform is to provide a digital payment mode without any kind of physical interaction and full privacy.

Beginning Of e RUPI
The respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the RUPI digital payment platform on 2nd August 2021 through video conferencing. On this special occasion, the chief executive chairman of the National Health Authority has provided the highlight of this platform in collaboration with the Prime Minister. The first phase of this digital payment platform will be used by a private vaccination center in Mumbai on the launch.
