To provide a corruption-free and transparent government to the people of Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani launched a citizen smart card scheme on 17 December 2020. Under this scheme, the government will provide a total of 51 services through the digital platform in 8,000 villages in Gujarat by the end of December 2020. About Gujarat Citizen Smart Card Scheme
As we told you above the government of Gujarat will provide a total number of 51 services through the digital platform and these services will be provided to eight thousand villages by the end of December 2020. Out of which 35 of these services have already started. Gujarat Citizen Smart Card Scheme has been started in a single municipality and is now expected to extend to the other municipalities at the state level also. The date of the people who are collected will be locked in this Smart Card and people will just have to carry this smart card for various civics services.

Objective Of the Gujarat Citizen Smart Card Scheme
As we all know the people of any state will have to carry their documents to avail the benefit of various services that create many difficulties. By keeping this in mind the chief minister of Gujarat has launched Gujarat Citizen Smart Card Scheme. With the help of this scheme, citizens will just have to carry the smart card to avail the benefit of various civic services rather than carry the hard copy of their documents. Around 7000 families living in the town have been rewarded with the New Citizen smart card scheme. The details of the household which will be available in this card are given below

Services Under the Citizen Smart Card Scheme
This card will provide various services to the people of the state. Around 7000 pupils are going to get benefits under this scheme. The data of these families will be collected and stored in the Central Government digital locker and once the data is ready all the citizens will be provided with the smart card. Some of the civic services available under the Citizen Smart Card Scheme are income certificate BPL certificates etc. which will help people get easy access to their documents.
