About Karnataka Namo Stree Yojana 2024

The Government of Karnataka has launched the Karnataka Namo Stree Yojana. Through this scheme, the government is going to support the women of self-help groups by providing them a sum of Rs 500 crores under the first installment. The government released an amount of 100 crores for 9890 self-help groups and 44 manufacturing units which include 11 canteens, 9 sanitary pad units, and 24 toffee production units. Other than that the government has also identified 50000 associations to set up 3 industrial units and 15 product manufacturing units in every district. These units will produce castor oil, jam, earthenware chips, and other items which will generate employment for the women. The state government has also allocated funds for skill development and support and to create opportunities for women entrepreneurs. The government will also provide interest-free loans and training.
