What is Shakti Scheme 2024
The Government of Karnataka has launched the Karnataka Shakti Scheme. Through this scheme free of cost travel will be provided to the women of the state. Other than that transgender individuals will also be able to take benefit of this scheme. All the women can avail of the facility of free travel within the boundaries of the state. However, the State road transport corporation such as KSRTC, NWKRTC, and KKRTC will be reserving in 50% of the seats for men. Beneficiaries will be required to use their identity card issued by the central or state government to avail the benefit of this scheme. This scheme was a part of the election manifesto of the Congress party. As the government comes into power this scheme has been immediately rolled out.
