About PMEGP Scheme
The scheme has been launched by the central government to provide various employment opportunities to around 15 lakh unemployed youth of the country with an outlay of Rs. 5,500 crores. Along with that people can also apply for the up-gradation in the expansion of existing PMEGP/ REGP/ MUDRA units. A loan of up to rupees 1 crore will be given to each beneficiary with a subsidy of around 15 to 20% so that they can start their own business. PM Employment Generation Programme Implementation
The implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Programme will be done by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission which will function as the nodal agency at the national level. At the state level, the scheme will be implemented by the channel of state KVIC directorates state khadi and village Industries board district Industries centre and Bank. These nodal agencies will work for the unemployed youth of the country to increase employment opportunities among them and to reduce the rate of unemployment.

- The Employment Generation Programme has been launched by the central government for the unemployed youth of the country

- The minimum cost of the project under the manufacturing sector is 25 lakh and under the business, the sector is 10 lakh
- The per capita investment should not exceed Rs. 1 lakh in plain areas and Rs. 1.50 in hilly areas.

- The institution that is registered under the Society Registration Act 1860 production cooperative society and charitable trust are applicable under this scheme
