To provide financial assistance for higher studies after 12 to the needy students of Odisha state, the Government of Odisha has created a new scheme known as the Prerana Scholarship Scheme. Under this scheme, monetary help will be provided to the students belonging to the SC-ST general and minority community for further education. The main aim of launching the Prerana Scholarship is to provide opportunities among the needy people of the state for further studies. Objective Of the Prerana Scholarship Scheme
As we all know many economically weaker section students are not able to continue their studies due to Financial problems and economic backwardness. This results in the completion of their studies. By keeping this situation in mind the Government of Odisha state has come up with the Prerana scholarship scheme. With the help of this scholarship scheme, financial assistance will be given to the people belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/General/ Minority category. so that they will be able to complete their studies and shape their future.

Eligibility Criteria
An applicant must be a resident of Odisha state.
The annual income should not exceed 2.5 lakh in case of SC/ST, 1.5 lakh in case of OBC/EBC, 1 lakh in case of EBC
An applicant must be from backward categories.
The student should have score at least 50% marks in previous examination
