About Punjab Sanitary Pads Scheme
The chief minister of Punjab state Captain Amarinder Singh has launched this scheme to raise awareness about the need for menstrual hygiene among the girls of the state. Free of cost sanitary napkins will be provided to the girls studying in high school and colleges under the Punjab Sanitary Pads Scheme. Along with that, the government will also conduct awareness camps in various Schools for boys to create a healthy mindset on mensuration. This is quite a great step that has been taken by the government of Punjab to keep girls safe and hygienic during the menstrual cycle.

Free Sanitary Napkin Registration
The Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has announced a free sanitary napkin scheme for all the girls students especially those who are residing in rural areas and slums across the state. The Chief Minister will distribute 2500 sports kids to the youngsters in the state. Along with that he also launched a program to give property rights to the slum dwellers and a Rs 75 crore smart metering project beside e daakhil portal for consumer complaints.
Punjab Basera Programme For Proprietary Rights
Along with this scheme, the chief minister of Punjab will also launch the Basera Programme. Under this program, 2816 dwellers in 10 slums of Patiala Bathinda to Fazilka and Moga district will get proprietary rights in the first phase. The local government will also ensure that the people belonging to slum areas will get basic civic amenities such as portable drinking water, street lights, and roads in slums for a comfortable life. Along with that, he will also launch a Rs. 75.64 crore smart metering project that will help to reduce human error in Manual reading through the automatic uploading of data. from January 2020 to 12 January 2021 around 96000 meters will be installed across the entire state.
EDaakhil Portal For Consumer Rights
The chief minister of Punjab has also talked about the new EDaakhil Portal. With the help of this portal, the consumer will be able to safeguard their rights. The people will easily approach the consumer court with the base to protect them from exploitation at the hands of traders. the people of the state will be able to submit their complaints while sitting at home with the help of this portal.
