Objective Of Punjab Sanitary Pads Scheme

The Chief Minister captain Amarinder Singh has announced a free sanitary napkin scheme for all the girls students especially who are residing in rural areas and slums across the state. The Chief Minister will distribute 2500 sports kids to the youngsters in the state. Along with that he also launched a program to give property rights to the slum dwellers and Rs 75 crore smart metering project beside e daakhil portal for consumer complaints.

Punjab Basera Programme For Proprietary Rights

Along with this scheme, the chief minister of Punjab will also launch the Basera Programme. Under this program, 2816 dwellers in 10 slums of Patiala Bathinda to Fazilka and Moga district will get proprietary rights in the first phase. The local government will also ensure that the people belonging to slum areas will get basic civic amenities such as portable drinking water, street lights, and roads in slums for a comfortable life. Along with that, he will also launch Rs. 75.64 crore smart metering project that will help to reduce human error in Manual reading through automatic uploading of data. from January 2020 to 12 January 2021 around 96000 meters will be installed across the entire state.
