Arogya Karnataka Scheme has been created in order to provide universal healthcare opportunities to people who are otherwise not able to afford them. The people will be provided with a lot of opportunities even if they have suffered from serious health problems under the scheme. This scheme is specifically provided to the people of the Karnataka state and the Karnataka state will be the first state in the country to declare and implement University Health coverage to help the Karnataka people. This will develop the overall health and well-being of the people in Karnataka state. You will be automatically enrolled under this scheme if you are a permanent resident of Karnataka.

Objective Of Scheme
The Arogya Karnataka scheme has been created by the Karnataka government to extend universal health coverage to all of the residents of the Karnataka state and under this new scheme Primary Health Care will be provided to the people. The people will be provided with specified secondary and tertiary Health Care benefits under this scheme. There are a lot of other Health Care schemes available which are specifically provided for senior citizens and also other people who are currently not able to finance proper healthcare opportunities. Different phases will be created to implement this scheme in the whole of Karnataka state and in the first phase 10 major hospitals have been chosen by the Karnataka government to implement this scheme to provide proper opportunities to the people who can’t afford health care facilities.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for this prestigious scheme:-
- Eligible Patient: A patient who is a resident of Karnataka State and belongs to an “Eligible Household” as defined under the National Food Security Act, 2013;
- General Patient: A patient who is a resident of Karnataka State but does not come under the definition of “Eligible Household” as defined under the National Food Security Act, 2013, or does not produce the eligible household card. The treatment cost will be on a co-payment basis.

Hospital Login

Enrollment Procedure
All of the residents of Karnataka state will be able to enroll themselves under this scheme without any complicated procedure. You can check out the detailed enrollment procedure given below:-
- The enrollment is based on a person’s Aadhar Card number.
- The patient’s biometric impression is captured on a biometric device and authenticated with the CIDR Aadhar Server.
- The E-KYC details will be auto-populated.
- In case there is a failure in reading the biometric impression of the beneficiary wishing to enroll, other options such as “OTP”, capturing data from the QR code, and getting data from the Food Department’s database are provided.
