Under this scheme, an interest-free loan up to the amount of Rs. 50,000 will be provided to the women. The main aim of launching the Saranya Self Employment Scheme is to start a joint venture by more than one entrepreneur to provide employment opportunities to the unemployed women of the scheduled tribe who do not have anyone to earn. As we all know many widows, uneducated divorced, and unwed mothers of the scheduled tribe category do not have employment opportunities to live their lives stress-free. By keeping this in mind the Government of Kerala has created a new scheme known as Saranya Self Employment Scheme Kerala. Interest-Free Loan Under Scheme
The Kerala Saranya self-employment scheme was created by the government of Kerala to provide interest-free loans among backward and segregated women. Under the Kerala Saranya Self Employment Scheme, these women will be provided with an interest-free loan of Rs. 50,000. Out of this amount, 50% has been provided by the government of Rs. 25,000. The repayment of the loan will be done in a 60 equal monthly installment. With the help of this loan, the women of scheduled tribes will be able to start their businesses without worrying about any financial hurdles.
Implementation Of Kerala Saranya Self Employment Scheme
For the successful implementation of the Scheme, the beneficiaries will fill out the form. After entering the details they need to submit this application form to the town employment exchange later it will be forwarded to the district employment exchange. The sanctioning authority will go through the application form and the loan amount will directly be transferred into the bank account of the beneficiaries. Monitoring Of Kerala Saranya Self Employment Scheme
The monitoring of the Kerala Self Employment Scheme is done by the controlling Director of Employment. The whole process is dependent upon the district employment officer and officer of town employment exchanges. The beneficiaries will have to pay three consecutive installments under this scheme. If they do not pay the two installments, a reminder will be sent to them. If no reply is received, recovery action will be taken by the concerned authorities. The instructions will be taken by the concerned authorities if found that the loan amount is utilized for other purposes.

Information Of Category Under Self Employment Scheme

| Widow | The women who are divorced by their husbands come under this category and have received the divorcee certificate from the court or their religious organization. Under this category of women, there is no boundation of religion. It should be stated in the divorce certificate that the woman has still not remarried at the time of application |
| Divorced women | The woman who is deserted by her husband or her husband has been missing for the last seven years. These women are required to produce a certificate from the tahsildar and in the certificate, it should also be stated that she has not remarried to date. |
| Deserted woman | The women who have completed the age of 30 years as of 1st April of the year and are unmarried. The certificate is required to be obtained from the village officer. |
| Spinsters | The women who have completed the age of 30 years as on 1st April of the year and are unmarried. The certificate is required to be obtained from the village officer. |
| Unmarried mothers | The women who belong to the scheduled tribe category have become mothers without getting married. Unmarried mothers are required to obtain a certificate from the village officer in which it will be clearly stated the caste and community of the women |
