Under the scheme, coverage will be provided to the farmers if their crops suffer any loss. About WB Bangla Shasya Bima Yojana
The government of West Bengal has launched the West Bengal Bangla Shasya Bima Yojana in collaboration with agriculture insurance companies to provide coverage among the farmers for the loss of their crops. The main aim of this scheme is to provide coverage without taking any premium amount from the farmers. The government of West Bengal will bear the amount of insurance premium for the farmers under Bangla Shasya Bima Yojana. The insurance will be provided to the farmers in a total of four stages and the amount will be calculated per hectare.
Objective Of Bangla Shasya Bima Yojana
As we all know our farmers have to face great losses during planting cultivation line crops in the field or due to adverse weather situations. And this creates a lot of financial burden upon them. By keeping a view of this situation the government of West Bengal has come up with a new scheme named WB Bangla Shasya Bima Yojana. Under this scheme, Crop Insurance coverage will be provided to the farmers especially for the current season crop so that they do not have to bear the financial crisis. The premium amount for this insurance will be paid by the government to reduce the burden on the farmers of the state

Stages For Payment Under WB Shasya Yojana
The insurance under WB Shasya Bima Yojana will be paid in four stages which are given below.
- For the losses that occurred due to adverse weather conditions.
- Losses undergone during planting
- The Losses during the cultivation
- Losses occurred during the period post-cutting when crops were lying in the field
Insurance Amount Under This Scheme
The WB Bangla Shasya Bima Yojana has been launched to provide insurance to the farmers for their crops. The main aim of launching this scheme is to help farmers from the losses that occurred during the planting and cultivation and to save them from these losses the government in collaboration with the agriculture insurance company of India is providing insurance. The premium amount for the insurance under WB Bangla Shasya Bima Yojana will be provided by the government. And the insurance amount that will be given to the farmers will be calculated on a per-hectare basis.

Implementation Of West Bengal Shasya Yojana
The main aim of launching the West Bengal Shasya Bima Yojana is to bring development in the agriculture sector of the state. And for the successful implementation of this scheme, the government is launching the first phase of West Bengal Shasya Bima Yojana in only 15 districts. And after the better result, the second phase of this scheme will start. Under the second phase of this scheme, the number of districts will be expanded. - The West Bengal Bangla Shasya Bima Yojana has been launched by the government of West Bengal to provide Crop Insurance among the farmers of the state.
