About West Bengal Krishak Bandhu Scheme
To double the farmer’s income, the chief minister of West Bengal has launched a new scheme which is known as West Bengal Krishak Bandhu Scheme. Under this scheme, the financial assistance of Rs. 10,000 will be provided to the farmers in order to increase their income. The main objective of launching this scheme is to provide good food opportunities and also a good livelihood that is low due to the low income. Financial Allowance Has Increased To Double Under Krishak Bandhu
Recently at a cabinet meeting that was held on Thursday 17th June 2021, the chief minister of West Bengal Mamta Banerjee announced to double the benefit of farmers under the West Bengal Krishak Bandhu Scheme. The double benefit under this scheme will be given to approximately 68 lakh farmers in the state. Under this plan, the farmers who have at least one acre or more land will receive Rs. 10,000 per annum as financial assistance. Also, the assistance of those farmers whose landholding is below or less has been doubled from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 4000

WB Krishak Bandhu Scheme New Update
Around 72 lakh farmers will now be benefited through the Krishak Bandhu scheme which was launched by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal State. Previously, around 47 lakh farmers benefited under the scheme. Under the scheme, farmers who were within the age limit of 18 to 60 years were getting a compensation of Rupees 200000. Many other different benefits were also provided to the farmers. However, some farmers were not able to take advantage of the scheme. They were facing problems in getting mutation certificates to establish ownership of land. Officers from the state Land and Land Reforms department at Duare Sarkar camps are now helping search farmers.

Taxes Under Krishak Bandhu Scheme
The Chief Minister of West Bengal state Mamta Banerjee also said that she will wipe out the need for land mutation certificates for the farmers to enroll in the Krishak Bandhu Scheme.
