West Bengal Tablet Scheme:- Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal launched the West Bengal tablet scheme on Thursday 3rd December. Under this scheme, free tablets will be provided to 9.5 lakh students of government-aided higher secondary Schools and madrasas to continue their studies with online mode. About the West Bengal Tablet Scheme
The tablets will be provided to 9.5 lakh students in all State Aided Higher Secondary Schools and Madrasas. There are 14000 state-aided higher secondary schools and 636 government-funded madrassas under the West Bengal Tablet Scheme. Every student from the school and Madras will be rewarded with tablets so that they will be able to follow the online classes to continue their studies. These tablets will help the students to pursue their online classes and to continue their graduation-level studies. Along with that computers will be provided to every secondary school during coronavirus so that the schools can facilitate the online classes.

Objective Of the West Bengal Tablet Scheme
Due to the pandemic covid-19 students are not able to continue their studies and this results in a great loss of their future. By keeping this in mind, the chief minister of the West Bengal Mamata Banerjee has launched the West Bengal Tablet Scheme. Under this Scheme, nearly 9.5 lakh of the students will be provided with tablets to facilitate online education during this pandemic. Around 36000 government and government-aided secondary schools, 14000 higher secondary schools, and 636 Madrasas in the state will be benefited.

WB Free Tablets Scheme
As we all know due to the outbreak of covid-19 this student has suffered a lot in their education. Given this the government has announced to provide free tablets to 9.5 lakh students and computers will also be provided to every secondary School to facilitate online education. Implementation Of WB Tablet Scheme
The CM Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal has announced to provision of free e-tablets to around 9.5 lakh students. Around 36000 Government and government-aided secondary Schools 14000 higher secondary Schools and 366 mother saas in the state will be benefited under this scheme. Other Programs Under WB Tablet Scheme
The chief minister of West Bengal has announced other benefits along with tablet schemes such as they will provide a 3% dearness allowance to 10 lakh State Government employees from 1st January 2021 and the total cost which is incurred under this is about 2200 crore exchequer. Moving to the information technologies sector, West Bengal has registered 133 percent growth in the last 8 years and its exports have gone up to 175%. Given this, from 1st December the government has cleared proposals of setting up IT offices at Bengal Silicon Valley with the investment of rupees 3000 crore. these companies will directly give employment to 9000 it professionals
Employment Opportunities
Around 1,500 IT companies including Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro Infosys cognizant Others have their official officers in West Bengal and Around 2.1 lakh IT professionals. Now CM of West Bengal is planning to explain the plan of some of the top IT firms in the state to give employment opportunities to the youth of the state. Tata consultancy service has increased their employment from the present 44000 to around 61000 and soon the West Bengal would be larger than the Bengaluru operation.

Eligibility Criteria
- An applicant must be a resident of West Bengal
- An applicant must be studying in any of the Government and government-aided schools and Madrasa
- Candidate must be studying in class 12th
- The annual income should not exceed 2 lakh per annum
