To provide scholarships among the scheduled caste students for their further studies the state government has launched SC Post Matric Scholarship Scheme. With the help of this scholarship, the scheduled caste student will be able to continue their education without thinking about any financial burden. About SC Post Matric Scholarship
The state government has implemented the SC Post Matric Scholarship which is sponsored by the central government. Under this Scholarship, financial assistance will be provided to the student belonging to the scheduled caste so that they will be able to continue their study without thinking about any financial burden. This is quite a great step which has been taken to promote education by both the central and the state government. Along with that the scholarship will be given to the students that are studying beyond 12th class. There are around 4,200 slots under SC post-matric scholarship.

As we all know there are many scheduled caste students who due to their weak financial condition are not able to continue their studies and this creates a lot of difference between them and society. Evaluation Of SC Post Matric Scholarship
The student whose parental income is below Rs. 8 like from all the sources can take the benefit of the SC Post Matric Scholarship. The performance of this scheme will be evaluated by the Ministry Of social justice and empowerment once in 3 years. the states who are going to launch this scheme will have to monitor the physical and financial performance of the scheme. The financial and physical report will be submitted by the state to the central government.
Number Of Students Under This Scholarship
The central government has sanctioned Rs. 59,048 crore on 24 December 2020. Out of which Rs 35,534 will be provided by the central government with his about 60% of the total amount. And the rest amount will be spent by the state government. The central government will give benefits to around 4 crores Students in the next 5 years and this financial assistance will directly be transferred into the bank account of the beneficiaries with the medium of benefit transfer method through the Aadhaar enabled payment system. For the strong monitoring mechanism, the social audit will be done under this scheme.

Implementation Of SC Post Matric Scholarship
The guidance will be formulated by the State Government for the successful implementation of SC post-matric scholarship. These guidelines will assess the eligibility of beneficiaries and institutions. As we all know the total expenditure of the scheme depends on the state and the central government so the central government will receive assistance from the central government for the implementation of the Scholarship. This scheme will announce in May June each year for all the students who belong to the scheduled caste.

Provisions Of SC Post Matric Scholarship
- This scheme has been designed by the central government to function on the online platform
- The institution will be required to incorporate the salient features of the SC Post Matric Scholarship
- This portal will verify eligibility status Aadhar verification and delivery of assistance timely
- Students can submit their application through the National scholarship portal
- The limit of slots will have to be followed by the institution assigned to them
- The new entrants will have to select according to the entrance examination merit list
- After that, all the verification will be forwarded to the ministry
- Students or required to purchase a computer or laptop in the first year
- They should submit the bill of purchase while applying for the scholarship
- If any institution fully found violating the provision of the scheme then the institution will be notified
- If the institution has been notified that the scholarship will continue to be available for the SC student till the completion of the course

Eligibility Criteria
- An applicant must be a permanent resident of the state
- He or she must be studying at a post-Matric level
- An applicant must belong to the SC category
- If any students receive more than the available slot then the government will give the scholarship to the topper student
- If there is more than one student with an equal mark then the scholarship will be given to the student having a family lower
- 30% of the available slots reserved for the girl student
- The annual family income should not exceed more than 8 lakhs
