About Odisha Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana
A new scheme has been created by the government of Odisha to provide health insurance of up to Rs. 5 lakhs per family per annum. The main objective of launching this scheme is to provide healthcare facilities to people who belong to economically vulnerable families. Under Odisha Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana, the insurance will be provided to around 3.5 crores of families situated in the state. These people will be rewarded with free-of-cost health care services under the state government health institution from the district to the sub-centre level. Along with that, the woman will be rewarded with Rs. 2 lakhs as additional health insurance coverage.

Extension Of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana
The respected chief minister Naveen Patnaik has created this scheme to provide health care facilities among the needy people of the state. The first phase of this scheme was launched in Malkangiri, Sundergarh, Gajapati Bolangir and Mayurbhanj districts. The current beneficiaries under this scheme are the antyodaya Anna Yojana cardholders and the people whose annual income is below 2 lakh. But now the chief minister has decided to extend Odisha Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana. The second phase under this scheme will provide benefits to around 20.80 lakh more families and the Empanelled of more Private hospitals will be done from 1st September 2021.
New Eligibility Criteria Of Odisha Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana
As we all know the Government of Odisha state has decided to extend this scheme. Now the beneficiaries of the National Food Security Act and the state Food Security Act will be covered under the Odisha Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana. The new extension will be applicable from 1st September 2021. Till then the Government of Odisha state has the order to use their NFSA & SFSA cards to avail the benefit under this scheme. Also, the women under this scheme will be able to get health insurance of Rs. 5 lakhs and Rs. 10 in time of need.
Issuance Of Smart Cards Under Biju Swasthya Sathi
The government has decided to extend the Odisha Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana to provide beneficiaries among all the districts of the state. All the districts of this state will be covered by the state by 14 November 2021. The responsibility of issuing smart health cards is a pond UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited. Each of the families will get Smart cards. Around 1.85 would be prepared for 92.50 beneficiaries. This smart card contains a 12-digit unique registration number and the name of the beneficiaries.
