About Swami Vivekananda Scholarship
A new scholarship scheme has been launched by the government of West Bengal in order to provide financial assistance to the students who are not able to afford their fees. This scheme will provide benefits to all the students who are studying post-graduation under graduation and from class 9th to 12th. The scholarship under Swami Vivekananda Scholarship will be provided to the deserving students of the state. The main objective of launching this scheme is to help the poor students to get a good education and stand on their own feet without worrying about any financial hurdles.

Revised Eligibility Criteria Of Swami Vivekananda Scholarship
The government of West Bengal has created a scholarship scheme for the students so that they would be able to continue their education despite belonging to economically backward families. The benefit under this scheme will be provided to the student who scored 60% of marks in their board examination. Previously the eligibility criteria of the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship was 75% but now it has been revised to 60%. On this special occasion, the chief minister has virtually connected with at least 1700 students to provide the benefits. The family income under this scheme should be Rs. 250000 per annum.

The selection procedure under this scheme is as follows:-
- The officials will sort the online application.
- The application will be sorted in descending order that will be based on marks scored.
