- The girl child must be registered within a year after her birth

- Only two girls of a family will be able to get the benefit of this scheme
- The girl should be immunized correctly in the health department program
- The girl should be born after 31st March 2006 in the BPL family
- The girl must have completed 8th grade to be eligible for the maturity amount
- A girl cannot be married before 18 years of age
