For the past 100 years, women have always been treated as a person whose work is just to sit at home to do all the household work. Slowly she started taking her stand for making herself educated. And now in the 20th century, women are leading the world. They are Teachers, Doctors, Engineers, pilots, and opting many more occupations. These are the occupations where she is working under someone. But now women are becoming entrepreneurs, starting their businesses, and offering jobs to others. Where she is her boss. This is a great chance for our society. Many big brands are owned by women. To encourage and motivate them the Kerala Government introduced Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation KSIDC WE Mission Kerala 2024”. This program was launched on the occasion of Women’s Day on the 8th of March 2023.

KSIDC WE Mission Kerala 2024

On the occasion of Women’s Day, the KSIDC WE Mission Kerala for women entrepreneurs is organized by the Department of Industries and Commerce. Under this mission, the number of loans given to women entrepreneurs will be increased from 25 lakh to 50 lakh. This means the loan amount will be doubled. It is a great motivation given to women. And the interest rate will be only 5%. This implementation will be started on 1st April 2023. One more benefit given to the women entrepreneurs is that they will get an increase in their moratorium period (period throughout the loan term when the borrower is free from making payments on the loan granted) from 6 months to 1 year. The Minister added that beginning on April 1, 2023, female entrepreneurs can use the Kozhikode incubation center’s facilities by paying 50% rent.

The objective of KSIDC WE Mission Kerala

Encouraging women entrepreneurs to do better in life is a major goal of this mission. The government of Kerala introduced this mission to motivate women and generate employment. A saying goes “ Educated Man can Educate a single person, but an educated woman can educate the whole family”. Similarly, an employed woman employs multiple women. Many women are starting their businesses but due to the unavailability of loans they can’t establish them on a higher level. After the implementation of this mission, the government will double its loan amount from 25 lakh to 50 lakh with just a 5% interest rate. This will be implanted from 1st April 2023.
