Mistakes to Avoid During Filling the Form for Voter ID
We all know the importance of voter ID cards. It is not just a piece of paper, it plays an important role in giving you your nationality, offering you the right of election to choose your leader, or you can use your voter ID card to move out of the country. So, whenever you fill out the application form for making your voter ID card, then make sure to fill in all the details and documents correctly. - Applicants first need to visit the National Voters Services Portal, which is the NVSP’s Official NVSP Website.
- The website’s home page will appear on the screen.
- On the homepage, you have to sign up for an account on the portal and access your account.
- If you want to make changes to the elector’s details, then click on the given link.
- Afterward, you have to select Form 8.
- Now Form 8 will appear on a new page.
- Fill out the form now by choosing your State, District, and Assembly or Parliamentary Constituency, among other things.
- Now you have to enter your further details like:
- Part number
- Serial number
- Elector’s photo identity card (EPIC) number
- Your name and last name
- Now choose the Name field that needs to be updated as you move along.
- Enter your new name.
- Next, upload any necessary supporting documentation.
- Accept the statement now, then press the Submit button.

Update the Address on Your Voter ID

- Applicants first need to visit the National Voters Services Portal, which is the NVSP’s official website.
- The website’s home page will appear on the screen.
- On the homepage, you have to simply sign up for an account on the portal and access your account.
- If you recently relocated to a new constituency, choose Form 6 when submitting an online application for registration of new voters or due to transfer from AC.
- Select Form 8A if you relocated from one residential neighborhood within the same constituency to another.
- The appropriate form will then appear on the screen.
- Now, complete the form with all the necessary information, such as your name, address, state of residence, birthdate, phone number, and email address.
- After that, upload the necessary documents, such as a PAN card or an Aadhaar card.
- Accept the declaration, then press the Submit button.
Correct Voter ID in Offline Mode
The user must adhere to the instructions below to correct their voter identification in offline mode.
- Applicants first need to visit the National Voters Services Portal, which is the NVSP’s official website.
- The website’s home page will appear on the screen.
- On the homepage, you have to simply sign up for an account on the portal and access your account.
- Now choose the State, then select the Download tab.
- After that click on the Forms tab:
- On the screen, a new page containing numerous forms, including
- Form 6
- Form 8
- Form 8A will appear.
- Download the desired form now, then print it out.
- Then, complete the form with all the necessary information, including your name, age, constituency, etc.
- Finally, turn in the completed form along with all necessary supporting documentation, such as an Aadhaar card and passport, to the appropriate electoral office.

- Applicants first need to visit the National Voters Services Portal, which is the NVSP’s official website.
- The website’s home page will appear on the screen.
- On the homepage you have to register your account by log in.
- After that you have to click on the Track Application Status button.
- The screen will change to a new page.
- Here you have to enter your reference ID.
- Now click the Track Status button to view the status on your screen.

Voter ID Correction 2024 FAQs
You may seek the correction of up to three entries at once, according to the rules. The correction form features a clause that states that once the first entry has been chosen, the remaining two entries will be presented and can be chosen based on that entry.
Use your email address to register on the voter portal and choose the “Correction in Voter ID” option. Then click the address correction. Please provide any pertinent documentation. See the application before submitting it.
