The Government of Telangana has launched a Double Bedroom Sanction List. Through this list, all the beneficiaries who have applied under the double bedroom sanction scheme can check their name. Now beneficiaries are not required to visit any government offices to check their sanction list. This can be done online with the help of the official website. This will save a lot of time and money and will also be in the system. This scheme will be implemented in all constituencies under Telangana municipal corporation. The cost of constructing a flat under the scheme will not exceed more than 5.30 lakh in urban areas and 5.04 lakh in rural areas. This scheme will ensure that all the citizens of the state will be able to get houses of their own.

What is a Double Bedroom Scheme?
Telangana’s double-bedroom scheme was launched in the year 2015 to provide houses to the residents of the state. Under this scheme 2 bhk houses will be built up in 560 square feet area at a nominal cost which will be provided to all the eligible beneficiaries. The main objective of implementing the scheme is to provide houses of their own to the economically weaker section of society. The houses will have all the basic amenities. To get the benefit of this scheme the applicant should not own a residential plot or house in Telangana.
- Other than that the annual family income of the applicant should exceed Rs 2.5 lakh per annum. This scheme will improve the standard of living of the beneficiaries. Other than that with the implementation of this scheme, the beneficiary will also become self-dependent
