About Kerala Scholarship

Kerala scholarship will provide financial assistance to the children who are in need to pursue their higher education without any financial burden on the shoulder. This scholarship will bring a big positive change in the educational sector. As we all know there are various students who are not able to complete their higher studies due to economic backwardness and financial crisis. And to improve the situation of these students the Government of Kerala state has come up with a great opportunity named Kerala scholarship. The first date to apply for this opportunity is 27 August 2020 and the last date to grab the opportunity is 31st October 2020.

Objective Of The Kerala Scholarship

There are many minority students who want to make their life very easy and helpful by pursuing higher education. But because of financial backwardness, they are not able to continue their studies. Due to this situation, the Government of Kerala state has come up with Kerala Scholarship. The main objective of this scholarship is to provide educational opportunities to the children of the different categories who want to continue their education to a higher level and this will improve the future of the youth.

Types Of Kerala Scholarship

There are several types of Kerala scholarship which have been launched to provide educational opportunities to the minor categories students. Types of scholarship are as follows-

Eligibility Criteria Of All Scholarships Of Kerala

Post Matric Scholarship For Minorities- NSPAn applicant must be pursuing the UG PG Ph.D. course of higher secondary school colleges institute from the recognized government-aided unaided institution. Or an applicant must be pursuing an 11th class technical-vocational course of IT ITC centers affiliated to NCVT. Or an applicant must be pursuing courses listed under merit come means scholarship scheme. An applicant must belong to minor categories such as Muslim Christian Buddhist Sikh Zoroastrian or Parsis Student must have scold at least 50% marks in the previous board University examination The annual income should not exceed 2 lakh per annum. An applicant must not be availing of any other scholarship or stipend
State Merit Scholarship- DCEAn applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate course from a recognized university or government-aided college An applicant must have scored at least 50% in the last qualifying examination. The annual income should not exceed more than 1 lakh per annum
District Merit ScholarshipAn applicant should have scored a plus in all subjects in the SSLC examination conducted by the board of public examinations Kerala state. An applicant should be pursuing higher secondary/VHSE/ ITI/ Polytechnic Course
Merit Scholarship To The Children Of School Teacher- DCEAn applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate course in government-aided arts and science colleges. An applicant must be the son/ daughter of primary secondary school teachers
Hindi Scholarship- DCEAn applicant must have taken Hindi subject in degree-level studies. An applicant must have taken Hindi as the main subject in b ED M A M Phil PhD
Muslim Nadar Girls Scholarship- DCEAn applicant must be the first year girl student of HSV/VHSC  and an undergraduate course in govt aided arts and science colleges. An applicant must belong to a BPL family and backward community
Sanskrit Scholarship- DCEAn applicant must have taken Sanskrit subject as the main subject and who is studying Sanskrit as one of the subjects in the course
Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship- DCE An applicant must be a first-year student of undergraduate or postgraduate course environment aided college or University Department An applicant must belong to the BPL family Student must have sports 50% or above in last qualifying examination
MGS RenewalAn applicant must belong to a Muslim let in a converted Christian community and should be a native of Kerala. An applicant must be a girl student studying for the first year of graduation An applicant ho what admission to self-financing college from merit seats are eligible An applicant must have scored at least 50% in the last qualifying exam The annual income should not exceed 4.50 lacs per annum
Blind/ PH Scholarship-DCEAn applicant must be a blind Ph.D. student studying in government-aided arts and science colleges music colleges and government-aided higher secondary vocational higher secondary School. The annual income should not exceed 2.5 lakh per annum
Music Fine Arts Scholarship- DCEAn applicant must be studying in common music colleges and government fine arts colleges
