About MHADA Organisation

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) was founded by the state government in 1976 with the goal of offering inexpensive housing options to the populace. Since that time, MHADA has been in charge of offering high-quality housing options throughout the state and for all socioeconomic levels. As part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, it currently offers inexpensive housing alternatives (PMAY). The MHADA’s main goal is to improve the lives of those who live in the lower social classes by giving them access to high-quality housing. Nearly 7.5 lakh families have received cheap housing from the MHADA thus far, with one-third living in Mumbai alone. Except for the Vidharba region, the entire state of Maharashtra is under the control of MHADA.

The MHADA conducts a housing lottery every year in several cities throughout the state to distribute brand-new homes at reasonable prices to qualified applicants. The regional board conducts the housing lottery draw.

The objective of Mhada Lottery 2024

As is well known, a large portion of the economically underprivileged population does not own a home in which to live. Because of their financial situation, they are unable to own their own homes. The central government is offering housing options to the populace through the Mhada Lottery Scheme as a result of this issue. By 2022-23, all people will have access to inexpensive housing, according to this plan.
