Amount of Rs 45.53 Crore Released
Under the Jagan Anna Videshi Vidya Deewana scheme, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has released Rs 45.53 crore which is benefiting 357 students who have gained admission to 50 universities abroad. This amount will be credited to the bank account of the beneficiary’s mother. This amount has been released on 27th July 2023. With the implementation of this scheme, those students who want to study abroad in the top 50 universities will be provided financial assistance. All the meritorious SC ST, BC minority, and EBC communities will get benefit from this scheme. Now parents are not required to take any kind of debt because the government is going to finance their education.
- With the implementation of this scheme, students will be able to pursue their careers in 21 faculties in 320 educational institutions abroad. The government is going to reimburse fees up to Rs 1.25 crore to the beneficiaries who belong to SC, ST, BC, and minority communities. That student who belongs to the EBC community will get fee reimbursement up to Rs 1 crore

Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena 2023 was created to provide opportunities to people who are planning to go abroad and continue their studies in the Andhra Pradesh state. The scholarship will help people to continue their education without having to worry about the financial differences that they are currently going through. Benefits Of Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena
The following benefits will be provided to the people to successfully apply for this scheme:-
- Financial assistance shall be provided to the students who are getting admissions to the top 200 universities as per the latest QS World University rankings only.
- The selected students who have been admitted to the top 100 universities shall be eligible for financial assistance of rupees 100% of tuition fees.
- The selected candidates who have been admitted to the next hundred Institutions will be eligible for financial assistance of 50% of the tuition fees or 5 lakh whichever is lower.
- The scholarship shall be payable to the students in their bank accounts in 4 equal installments in case of PG courses-
- Installment 1 will be payable to the students upon production of the landing permit or immigration card.
- Installment 2 shall be made to the students upon production of the first-semester result.
- Installment 3 will be made to the students upon the production of the second-semester result.
- Installment four will be released after the successful completion of the final semester and the uploading of the final semester mark sheet on the concert portal.
- In the case of PhD or MBBS courses, the instruments will be released based on the production of the preceding year’s result.
Selection Procedure
The authorities will follow a very simple selection procedure to provide transparency in this procedure of selecting the beneficiaries. The notification will be issued in the newspaper for acceptance of the applications through an online method and the students will be selected twice a year, once in the fall season and the other in the spring season. All the students who are applying for financial assistance shall apply to start from the first of August to the 30th of September and again from the 1st of January to the 28 February of the year. The selection shall be conducted by a state-level selection committee constituted by the government. The committee will scrutinize the application invited through an online method. The people will get selected based on the eligibility criteria presented by the organization.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to successfully apply for this prestigious scheme:-
- The applicant for a student applying for the scheme must be from a poor income background such as SC, ST, or Kapu Community.
- The family’s income must be less than 8 lakh rupees. If it is more than the applicant is not eligible for the scheme.
- The age limit must be below 36 years.
- The applicant must be a permanent state resident of Andhra Pradesh.
- The government said that to be eligible, students had to get at least 60% in their degree, postgraduate degree, or intermediate grade.
- At the time of admission, the candidate should hold his/her Intermediate certificate/relevant Graduate Degree for MBBS programs or Graduate/PG certificate for PG/Ph.D. courses.
- Post-graduate courses may be broken down into two categories: those that last one year and those that last one and a half years both must
- This plan can only be used once in a person’s lifetime.
- Participation in programs offered by accredited educational institutions in Australia, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, The Netherlands, France, Russia, the U.S.A, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, and China (Philippines, Kazakhstan, and China only for medical programs) will be taken into consideration for this program.
